Our congregation was established in 1979 and, after meeting at several locations in East Cobb County, we erected our current sanctuary in 1983. A loving church with its arms outstretched to welcome all, Chestnut Ridge has seen our community grow as we have grown spiritually. We value our differences, and we uplift our common faith in Jesus Christ as the Son of the Living God.

Being a part of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) we value religious freedom and an intellectual approach to faith. We encourage questions, and  we do not begin to think that we have all the answers. We enjoy discussing what is going on in our world and in our community, and we seek to apply our faith to daily living.

We are a diverse congregation with people of all ages, backgrounds, and faith experiences. We seek to have a hands-on approach to being church, seeking to "get our hands dirty" in serving our God.

Each week, we celebrate the Lord's Supper, hear an inspiring sermon, and enjoy strong bonds of fellowship. We encourage people to get involved in worship--our lay leadership participates throughout the service.
