The CrossRoads @ Chestnut Ridge worship team met this past Sunday and began working on the upcoming year's CrossRoads services. Below you will see the dates and preliminary themes for the CrossRoads Sundays, which are always the second Sunday of the month.

August 12: What Does the Lord Require?
September 9: Grace/Forgiveness Revisited

November 11: Bearing Fruit/Spiritual Gifts
December 9:God's Wisdom vs. Human Wisdom
Make sure you get these dates on the calendar and if a theme appeals to you, let one of the CrossRoads team members know and we will make sure you get involved in planning that particular service!

Disciples Women To Provide Meal
Disciples Women will provide a meal for the clients at The Extension on February 16th. There is a sign-up sheet at the church for what you can share.
Disciples Women have adopted The Extension as their mission project this year. The Extension is a community supported long-term residential recovery program for homeless men and women that serves the Cobb County area and addresses one of the primary root causes of homelessness, which is chemical dependence.

This coming Sunday is February 5th, the Fifth Sunday after Epiphany!
Our Lectionary scriptures for this Sunday include Isaiah 40:21-31; Psalm 147:1-11, 20c; I Corinthians 9:16-23; Mark 1:29-39. Come and join us as we worship God!
CrossRoads Community Garden Upcoming Class
February 7th (Tuesday) at 6:30 p.m. at Chestnut Ridge Christian Church there will be a class on Seed Starting presented by a Cobb Master Gardener. The class is free and open to the public. Come receive expert tips on starting seeds for your spring gardens and remember to invite your friends!
